Rosh: an Ancient Land Known to Ezekiel
نویسنده
چکیده
Extensive evidence from ancient Near Eastern .texts and from normal Hebrew syntax supports the view that wxr is a toponym in Ezek 38:2, 3; 39:1. The syntactical support involves a detailed examination of instances where some scholars posit a break in a construct chain. These hypothetical breaks are not convincing for several reasons. Therefore, wxr in Ezek 38:2, 3; 39:1 should be translated as a proper noun ("the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal" [NKJV]), not an adjective ("the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal" [KJV]).

Establishing Clonal Cell Lines with Endothelial-Like Potential from CD9hi, SSEA-1− Cells in Embryonic Stem Cell-Derived Embryoid Bodies
BACKGROUND Differentiation of embryonic stem cells (ESCs) into specific cell types with minimal risk of teratoma formation could be efficiently directed by first reducing the differentiation potential of ESCs through the generation of clonal, self-renewing lineage-restricted stem cell lines. Efforts to isolate these stem cells are, however, mired in an impasse where the lack of purified lineage...
متن کاملA Note on the Gargar Irrigation System
Sasanian’s imperial policy aimed to construct new towns, massive irrigation infrastructures, and land modification bydepopulating rural areas in order to carry out massive agriculture projects particularly in Khuzestan. Shushtar with itsancient relics presents a unique chance to investigate some of these development activities, mainly in terms of irrigation.Several chief irrigation organs have ...
متن کاملAn Endogenous Foamy-like Viral Element in the Coelacanth Genome
Little is known about the origin and long-term evolutionary mode of retroviruses. Retroviruses can integrate into their hosts' genomes, providing a molecular fossil record for studying their deep history. Here we report the discovery of an endogenous foamy virus-like element, which we designate 'coelacanth endogenous foamy-like virus' (CoeEFV), within the genome of the coelacanth (Latimeria cha...

For this reason well known ancient physicians used to do phlebotomy, wet cupping, vomiting, administer laxatives, enema and various other methods. Fortunately, wet cupping is known as an effective method in prevention and treatment for numbers of diseases even by medical society nowad...
متن کاملPI3 K/Akt/mTOR-mediated translational control regulates proliferation and differentiation of lineage-restricted RoSH stem cell lines
BACKGROUND We have previously derived highly similar lineage-restricted stem cell lines, RoSH and E-RoSH cell lines from mouse embryos and CD9hi SSEA-1- differentiated mouse embryonic stem cells, respectively. These cell lines are not pluripotent and differentiate readily into endothelial cells in vitro and in vivo. RESULTS We investigated the signaling pathway that maintains proliferation of...
